The Story Behind Diorama Restaurant About five years ago, we had our first encounter with these cats. At that time, Diorama Restaurant was facing a difficult period and was considering closing due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. One day, a mother cat arrived at our door with her three kittens. At that moment, I felt that I had to save this little family’s lives. However, many people around me were against bringing cats into the restaurant. With the support of our neighbors, we eventually welcomed them into Diorama Restaurant. When we first brought them inside, we allowed them to freely explore the space. As a result, they caused quite a bit of damage to our carefully created diorama scenery. I was frustrated at first, but I could not bring myself to scold them. I realized that I had taken away their freedom and changed their lives completely. I also knew that accepting cats might mean losing our customers. To share what was happening with our staff and others, I began posting funny videos of the cats on YouTube and Twitter. Unexpectedly, those videos attracted attention, and we began receiving requests for interviews. Before we knew it, visitors from all over the world started coming to Diorama Restaurant.
