If you want to rescue a cat...

Regarding Cat Intake

Diorama Shokudo accepts cats on a limited basis and provides them with a safe place to stay while working to find them an adoptive family.

Please understand that accepting and caring for a cat involves various costs, including veterinary care, food, housing, utilities, and other expenses necessary for their ongoing care.

Because we have limited capacity, we may not always be able to accept every cat. Cases involving cats in urgent or life-threatening situations will be considered separately. Please contact us to discuss such cases.

Intake Fees

The current intake fees are as follows:

  • Adult cats (1 year or older): ¥77,000 per cat

  • Up to 3 cats from the same family or group: ¥200,000 total

  • Kittens under 3 months old:

    • 1 kitten: ¥30,000

    • 2 kittens: ¥50,000

    • 3 kittens: ¥80,000

  • When kittens are accepted together with their mother: an additional ¥20,000

Veterinary Examination Before Intake

Before a cat is brought to Diorama Shokudo, the required veterinary examinations and treatments must be completed.

Please either take the cat to a veterinary hospital yourself or cover the cost of arranging the necessary veterinary care.

The required examinations and treatments may include testing and other procedures necessary to assess the cat's health before intake.

Ongoing Care

After a cat has been accepted, a monthly care fee of ¥10,000 per cat will be charged while the cat remains at our facility, until an adoptive family is found.

This fee helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for the cat during their stay.

Panleukopenia Testing

A feline panleukopenia test will be performed at our facility at a cost of ¥5,000 per cat.

Please Contact Us in Advance

Each cat has a different background and individual circumstances. For this reason, we ask that you contact us in advance to discuss the cat's situation before bringing them to the facility.

Acceptance is subject to our available space and the cat's circumstances.

We appreciate your understanding that these fees are necessary to continue providing cats with a safe place to stay and supporting them until they can be connected with a suitable adoptive family.

If you have any questions about the intake process or fees, please contact us by phone.
